You're facing some tricky issues with your new system. After testing various components and configurations, it seems XMP settings are likely causing the crashes you're experiencing. Consider swapping the motherboard or GPU, updating drivers, and checking BIOS settings. If problems persist, a clean installation might help. Keep an eye on temperatures and performance after each change. Let me know what you try next!

Kernel 41 causes a severe crash. Likely requires increasing SoC and DRAM voltages slightly, even with XMP support. Target settings: up to 1.2V for SoC and 1.5V for DRAM.

Adjust timings and voltage manually instead of using XMP due to different RAM modules (C16 & C18). Consider a very relaxed setting like 19-25-25-45 and 1.35 volts, or use the factory timing on the lowest module (Trident CL18) at 18-22-22-42 with 1.35V. If issues persist, gradually increase voltage up to 1.45 until stable. I don’t suggest exceeding 1.45. If it fails, revert to 1.35v and relax the timings.

I'm sorry to hear that. You're looking to use the Ballistix kit for this build because the RGB doesn't fit well with the perforated aluminum panels. For manual overclocking, you should set the timings yourself using the 16-18-18-38 1.35v specs. The BIOS will attempt automatic adjustments when you enable XMP, but it's best to confirm the settings manually for accuracy.

You haven't adjusted Memory timings before, so if it fails, it might be an issue you made. I can share screenshots later if needed.

It seems you're adjusting settings similar to XMP but need to tweak voltage slowly starting at 0.01V. You think the motherboard won't handle the default 1.35V unless a newer BIOS update fixes it. If that fails, reset the BIOS or remove the battery and restart. Some boards attempt to apply your settings at startup, but if they fail, they'll revert to defaults automatically.

Good luck with the 32GB setup, I believe you can handle it.

Because it's an iTX board, I'd need to replace it with two 16GB drives. I own a set of ripjaws V that are 2x 16GB, but they didn't work well with Ryzen even when I first tried them. That was with older CPU generations. It might be worth testing later, though—16GB should be sufficient right now.
