You need to manually open the power button since it's hidden. With "Restore on powerloss" active, the system will power on automatically when connected to power.

You're asking about going back 25 years, which isn't possible with current technology. People used to wait for the screen to dim before continuing. On Linux systems, coding might have been feasible, but not on Windows.

I need to fix it since the power switch is hidden behind a screw-covered lid.

You mentioned you don’t have to connect anything to activate or deactivate it. When you need to stop it, you simply power down through software and keep it that way until you decide to restart.

Restoration only functions when the computer's power was interrupted during operation, not when the screen is safely turned off. It fails if the power supply shuts down before cutting off power.

You adjust the restore setting for power loss to "last state" rather than "Always on," and you can modify it as needed.

Connect the temporary power control and place it in a reachable location.
