You can still use Gedit as root by adjusting your permissions or using a different method to access it.

@Nayr438 coolbits and overclocking work like a charm now thanks. quick question tho, whats better for gaming to overclock, the graphics clock or memory? and is 50% fan speed at minimum tempeture, and 100% at 70+ degrees good?

I tend to see bigger improvements in the core, though memory can also get better. Memory performance depends on the brand and Samsung generally handles overclocking more smoothly, both influenced by the silicon selection. Begin with the core clock, then move to memory once a stable overclock is achieved. Avoid changing both at the same time unless you're prepared to invest extra effort later. Fan speed should be your choice, as long as it doesn’t reach around 80°C, then it’s fine.
