I bought a solid state drive with plenty of space for $100. Now I need to transfer my operating system from the old SATA SSD. Don’t worry, I won’t be replying just yet—this is because I’m still sleeping.

It mainly depends on the amount of data being copied and the speed of the storage devices. With a SATA SSD, performance should be around 300 MB/s, which means roughly 3 to 4 seconds for each GB—depending on the drive's speed again.
