We're experiencing 200mbps from our ISP, but when connecting directly to the modem via Ethernet, we get 200mbps. Plugging the modem into the router instead drops it to 60mbps on the same cable. I've verified the router's specifications (Linksys ea6400) say Ethernet ports support 1gbps. Note: I use a CAT6 cable from modem to router and another from router to PC, not the Ethernet cables themselves.

Consider turning off QoS settings. It might help manage traffic. This could result in slower overall performance.

Are you sure the issue involves a modem on the upstream side or a bundled modem/router from your ISP? Have you run a speed test on another device to check performance levels?

I connect a cat6 cable to my modem and PC, receiving 200. When I use the same cable with the modem and router, it drops to 60. My phone connects to Wi-Fi at 60.

It seems your router might be the issue. I’d reset it to factory settings, then access the admin panel to turn off QoS, and finally check if speeds improve. If that doesn’t help, reach out to the manufacturer for support or a replacement.
