While playing COD you often notice your CPU usage hits 100% even though the GPU stays idle, which hints at a CPU limitation. I used Cinebench R20 to verify. My 3700x seems to be only utilizing about 3500 cores, matching what Cinebench says is similar to an 1700x. According to the test, CPU: Ryzen 3700x GPU: Zotac RTX 3070 PSU: 550w RAM: 2x8GB Viper 3000MHz MB: ASUS ROG Strix B550i Gaming. During the benchmark, in Ryzen Master most cores hover near 3900-4000Mhz—normal? I sometimes see scores around 4200, but those are rare. Usually it lands in the mid 3000s. I tried enabling DOCP in BIOS and disabling XMP before, as stability problems arose, but forgot to re-enable it. After that, RAM dropped back to 3000Mhz yet performance stayed flat. I also limited power draw via PPT and XDC to reduce heat; temp went down but scores didn’t improve.
I’m not sure how to verify that. My bios lists version 2.20.1271, but I don’t know how to check the chipset drivers. Maybe I should look up the latest updates.
In CPU-Z under the Motherbopard section, you'll find your BIOS information displayed. For chipset driver details, visit the official AMD support page: https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/...t-am4/b550
Your current version of your profile appears to be quite outdated.
Yes, updating the latest version will address your concerns. This includes the DOCP.
The score remained steady, and here’s what Ryzen Master displays during the test. I’m still seeing around 3500 points (I included the 80°C temperature cap in the BIOS).
Your Ryzen 5 3600 is performing well, and the task manager indicates multiple cores are active during Cinebench.
