As mentioned earlier, use Windows Defender to scan your device for issues. After completion, visit malwarebytes.com and install their program. Once the download finishes, launch the software to verify if your system is affected by malware or other threats. If detected, use it to remove the problem. After confirming everything is clean, click the provided link to download and set up Windows Media Creation Tool. Create the tool, boot from it, and install Windows on your freshly repaired machine. It should be straightforward once you follow these steps.

Receiving ISO directly from Microsoft ensures maximum security at 110%. The installation disc will be formatted so it boots automatically. Finding a virus that can endure the formatting process is uncommon. However, if needed, you can always use a fresh USB drive for this purpose. It's worth noting that I'm currently using a 10-year-old stick for Windows installations.

Getting an "ISO direct from Microsoft" means using the Media Creation Tool and their instructions to burn the Windows 10 installation onto a USB drive. If you didn't fully understand English, that's okay. The USB is brand new, and I bought it yesterday. I'm sorry if I didn't explain clearly—I don't know what a 10-year-old stick means either.

Media creation tool comes from Microsoft. You can also download it yourself. I'm highlighting how rare it is to contract a virus through this whole process. A 10-year-old stick indicates I'm using USB, which has been formatted roughly five times over its decade with me. Right now it runs a Win7 installer that I've used just once for my current desktop OS.
