I just upgraded my RAM and tested cinebench r23 before applying XMP, just to see the impact on performance. I recorded a score of 10970 with the BIOS set to default, and 10850 when XMP was enabled. I understand the improvement isn't massive, but I thought XMP should boost the score at least slightly. Do you have any thoughts on what might be affecting this? Or maybe it's just normal behavior—cinebench r23 doesn’t always account for RAM speed. My system runs at 2666MHz with default settings, and with XMP it goes up to 3600MHz and higher speeds. The specs I have are: CPU 5600, Motherboard MSI B550-A Pro, 2x16GB Crucial Ballistix at 3600MHz.

Ensure no other CPU tasks are active while testing. Perform the same check on the alternative system as well. Focus on the result rather than the score.

I performed them both roughly five minutes after startup without interacting, meaning they should be identical. However, it might be wise to run additional checks just in case something was active during the XMP test.

the variation is minimal and comfortably inside the acceptable range for Cinebench; it doesn’t appear to focus much on memory speeds at first glance
