Looking for a method to keep the Windows cursor active despite games drawing their own software pointer. Some titles like High Fleet, Evil Genius 2 and Kenshi offer options to force the cursor. There’s also a game called "Hand of Evil" that seems to handle this differently. You might be able to adjust settings or use external tools to manage the cursor per application. If you need something more reliable, checking built-in Windows features or third-party utilities could help.

Also, you can reverse engineer the game or edit the binary using a hex editor if you're a skilled programmer.

Games usually allow continuous mouse movement. This means you can smoothly shift the camera or character without pausing, even while gliding your mouse across your desk. For instance, your cursor stays within the screen bounds and doesn’t exit or loop infinitely. If you wish to change direction, you’ll have to reverse your mouse actions, similar to how you move the mouse on your desktop.

I'm not entirely clear on what you're asking. You seem to be referring to hiding the Windows cursor and using the default instead, but mentioning some specific issues with the GOG 703 and certain games. It sounds like you're looking for a solution to reduce lag caused by window cursor overlays. Would you like me to help clarify your request? Also, do you have any screenshots or more details about the games involved?
