I hope I could boost this machine’s speed to maintain those top CPU frequencies. Do you think anyone knows why I’m able to reach such high numbers naturally, and why gaming keeps around 8 GHz?

HWMonitor fails to display the correct maximum MHz value. This issue appears to be mentioned regularly. Consider using another monitoring tool.

cpuz and the built-in task manager agreed! 🤓 Unless you have a superior tool. 💡 The monitor suggestion from Linux is solid! 🖥️ My old i7 2600k actually reached higher speeds with a 21GHz monitor, but it only stabilized around 5GHz. 📈

He suggests Hwinfo64 as the preferred option. J2C is typically used for HWmonitor.

the hw monitor seems to be functioning perfectly, reaching 32 ghz on one core—my personal best to date. keep checking out youtube for more tips! if others can beat this, I’ll definitely be the top ghz player!

The i5-11400F doesn't reach 32 GHz; it tops around 4.4 GHz by default. At such a high speed, you face signal problems through the motherboard traces and internal transistor challenges in the CPU.

it works without issues, just a rare hiccup sometimes and those numbers appear! the system mainly plays YouTube and some games on a 75-inch TCL Roku TV via HDMI 4 (ARC). the other tower stays idle unless I lose interest in the PS5!
