I accidentally spilled beer on my MacBook Air. She handled it well and it still functions, but now it smells bad and the keyboard feels sticky. I believe a five-prong screwdriver would be necessary, though I can't locate one that ships to New Zealand. Also, what’s the best way to clean it? Isopropyl alcohol is difficult to find because authorities now restrict its use for drug production purposes.

It’s unclear which scenario is more damaging—skipping my laptop for two days or throwing away half a bottle of beer.

I’m confident iFixIt has the right part. I used the same approach with my MBP a few years back. It always smelled like yuengling when it hit over 60°C, yet everything functioned perfectly.

You require delivery of a screwdriver because it's not available nearby. Simply visit a nearby hardware shop to purchase it.

He suggests using alcohol instead of brake cleaner. It’s a simpler approach.

Have you noticed that particular screwdriver at the hardware store? It seems to take a lot more time to use.

They seem to be the simplest option offering FedEx and UPS services along with an affordable driver selection.
