Access Windows Boot Manager via Linux environment
I set up Elementary OS with Windows 10 on a Dell Latitude E5440. During installation, I used gdisk to change the HDD from an MBR to a GPT format in Linux. After setup, GRUB2 works fine for Elementary but Windows fails to boot. In BIOS I found myself stuck in legacy mode, and switching to UEFI didn’t help since both OSes rely on outdated bootloaders. I discovered Windows can’t boot from a GPT drive in legacy mode, unlike Linux. My plan was to modify the boot manager or related files from the Linux install. Since I can access Windows partitions in Linux, it seems possible. What changes would be needed? Are there better alternatives? Let me know.
You've updated your drive, so now you must set up a fresh EFI bootloader for Windows. This can be achieved via the Windows installation media using DiskPart https://www.tenforums.com/installation-u...post698505
