Hi everyone, I'm trying to connect to the web on Windows Server 2019 datacenter, but it doesn't work when using my public IP address. It functions properly from my local IP, yet I encounter timeouts with the public IP. I've set up ports 80, 443, and 3389 to be forwarded. My ISP doesn't block these ports, and I can reach my external IP from within the same machine where I always connect. Any suggestions?
Everything checks out. It's using the self-signed certificate. I didn't have time to configure an A record or obtain a Let's Encrypt certificate yet. I'm also away from home and the server is off, so I can't verify anything before returning.
I understand you need to leave quickly. I'll make sure to respond promptly once you're ready.
Because you're trying to access your public IP via your internal network. It won't work. Could you show me a print screen of the error once you get back.
Chrome encounters a timeout issue. Testing connectivity via cellular network at home may resolve the problem.
