Hi everyone, I'm trying to connect to the web on Windows Server 2019 datacenter, but it doesn't work when using my public IP address. It functions properly from my local IP, yet I encounter timeouts with the public IP. I've set up ports 80, 443, and 3389 to be forwarded. My ISP doesn't block these ports, and I can reach my external IP from within the same machine where I always connect. Any suggestions?

Is the server activated in IIS Manager? Verify that ports and IP addresses are accurate. Also, confirm whether an SSL certificate is being utilized. Review all settings in the IIS manager.

Everything checks out. It's using the self-signed certificate. I didn't have time to configure an A record or obtain a Let's Encrypt certificate yet. I'm also away from home and the server is off, so I can't verify anything before returning.

It seems the issue might be due to a self-signed certificate, which can cause errors. I can reach my site through the IP address.

The standard IIS doesn't support SSL for the page you're viewing, but the web access portal does. However, I'm unable to connect to either of them.

Because you're trying to access your public IP via your internal network. It won't work. Could you show me a print screen of the error once you get back.
