Hello, I've been in the hospital for a long time and most activities feel repetitive—just Netflix or YouTube, which become boring after a couple of months. The only options are single-player games, but my laptop isn’t powerful enough to run them smoothly, like the one I usually play at home (e.g., CMS 2018). I attempted to join online games, but the connection kept dropping; servers didn’t respond. I tried War Thunder, EVE Online, War Planet Online, and even Agar.io, but none worked. My internet is stable—WiFi name is Clients Guest Protocol 802.11n, security open, channel 11, IP 10.22.14.212, DNS servers 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1. Manufacturer is Intel, version 20.50.3.3. MAC address D4-6D-6D-FD-88-97. What’s the issue?

It's likely the hospital restricts those kinds of links for safety reasons.

"That type of connection"? Isn't connecting to a server to play a game the same as connecting to a server to download a webpage? I've got no clue how any of this work so please correct me if i'm wrong.

They likely only allow a few standard ports such as 80 and 443, while all other connections are blocked.

Location matters more than VPNs for blocking ports. A mobile hotspot might help if the connection is fast enough.
