Hey! I'm planning to upgrade my motherboard and CPU while keeping the hard drive, power supply, and GPU. I'm curious if I can boot Windows from my old hard disk after the upgrade.

Absolutely, Linus can easily switch from one SSD to another without any issues. The main point is he uses an SSD while you have an HDD, but it’s worth noting Windows might recognize the change and prompt you to confirm the upgrade. Your typical response will be affirmative, and everything should work smoothly.

Yes, it works on Windows 10. It might function differently on other operating systems. Earlier versions aren't compatible with MOMO changes.

The main change is in the drivers (prepared for new hardware), nothing else matters. Regarding Windows 10 versus older systems, I've moved drives even during the XP era, then Vista, and 7. It functions in about 98% of cases and fails only 2%. Tools exist to assist with different hardware, resolving issues in a few seconds. In one instance, for improved stability, I disabled some outdated drivers using the Ghostbuster tool.
