Access limitations on the network
Hey everyone So long story short I own a camp for construction workers to stay when out of town. To supply wifi to everyone i have a telus hub. Its mainly for basic stuff like Facebook and such but some people are using it for streaming. It really slows the wifi down for everyone else. Im wondering if thr is an easy way to setup wifi restrictions that block video streaming? THX
It seems you're suggesting setting a restriction on the upload speed. Would you like to adjust that limit?
Yes, you can adjust settings directly within the router's configuration page.
The simplest approach is to use a Ubiquiti UniFi Access Point. It allows you to configure bandwidth rules for each user or group, meaning everyone connected gets the same settings. You can also track how much data each device uses, helping you identify and limit those that consume too much bandwidth.
