I recently attempted to access my Disc D hard drive, which holds many folders and games, but it displays NTFS and shows an access denied message. After installing DDU to fix GPU drivers, the issue persists even after a restart. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! My PC

I'm not very experienced with DiskPart. It seems the disk might be failing. Could you tell me its brand and model?

I secured entry to the storage device, yet I can't reach any subdirectories because of missing permissions.

It seems the documents are controlled by another party; you can update ownership in the permission options. Make sure all subfolders are included as well.

I managed to retrieve some files, though most remain unreachable. It’s necessary to reformat the disk and begin anew. I should save what I can from my data since this issue has persisted over the past four months. I did a full format of my PC but didn’t completely erase the information from the drives.

Collect relevant information and keep what’s available. If signs of corruption appear, it may mean your files are being degraded. For items you can’t alter ownership, it’s likely due to strong Windows security measures. Some aspects you can bypass using PowerShell, but others remain fixed.
