Access details for file sharing
You're encountering issues because the Windows file transfer service requires a username and password to authenticate. Since you've turned off password protection in Advanced Sharing and removed your Microsoft account credentials, the system can't verify your identity. To resolve this, ensure you have a valid Microsoft account linked to your PC or use an alternative authentication method if available.
You performed everything without any benefit, just needed to grant the folder an "Anonymous logon" access. Password protection is required for SMB shares unless you enable it. After setting that, select "Anonymous Login" from the options in that window.
Network access requires a password for security. Avoid connecting without it. Create a password to ensure safety.
You can configure this password in the settings menu or by following the on-screen instructions provided.
Avoid spending time on unnecessary steps and create a password correctly as intended.
You can log back in by using another Microsoft account or by resetting your password through the Microsoft account settings.
