I observed that when I start my computer, it automatically goes into advanced startup settings. I clicked continue in Windows to keep the process running, but it restarts to the same screen again. I already resolved this by manually shutting down the PC and restarting it through the power button, but I’m curious about the reason behind this behavior. I attempted another restart and it displayed the BIOS screen twice, seemingly trying to launch but failing.

When a PC starts in advanced boot mode, it usually indicates a serious issue during the loading phase. This might stem from various problems, most often a damaged OS component. Windows attempts to fix it itself, though success isn’t guaranteed. Such errors can result from improper shutdowns or malware. A failed software update is another frequent reason, but Windows automatically creates backup copies for this. Consider using a backup if available; you might also try safe mode to identify the exact cause. I don’t have much experience with safe mode, but the Event Viewer is a useful starting point. Without a backup, a full reinstallation is typically the simplest solution. Ensure you have the activation key ready before proceeding, and keep it in a safe place. There are tools you can use—though I don’t recall their name exactly—to boot into safe mode with networking or install from a USB drive.
