while setting up the ASUS USB-AC53 NANO, the installation pauses at "Now Installing Cisco EAP-FAST" even after leaving it overnight. I also connected a Windows 10 laptop via an older laptop with a USB dongle using an AC 5GHz adapter, but the drivers kept blocking the process. Trying to connect without drivers or installing only partial versions didn’t resolve the issue. Other devices in my home are working fine while this one is stuck.

Do you have the Cisco Any-Connect software set up? It includes a filter driver that activates upon discovering new network connections. If you have it, remove the Any-Connect client, install the latest adapter, and then reinstall the client again.

Open Device Manager, select the required device, click right, go to Properties, click Update Driver, choose the CD with your ASUS drivers, then allow installation without extra software.

I face the same issue, but the wireless adapter appears as an unknown device in USB controllers, which means no update driver choices are available. Assistance needed.
