AC: Unity works well!
I hadn't considered the needs of mid and low-end customers either. I'm curious about how they're defined.
Who sets the standard for a good idea? Well, I decide! If I think the game isn't as terrible as online claims suggest, I'll share it. This helps people with similar setups form better opinions before making a purchase or forming their overall view of the game.
You don't get it.... FACT is: The game is horribly optimized (something that you already admitted yourself in the OP), the game doesn't look good enough to justify the required hardware to run it, tons of people have gamebreaking issues, the game is littered with bugs and glitches. This is FACT. If you say that those things are "fine" then you either have extremely low standards or you suffer from buyers remorse.
I own a GTX 780 and an i7 3770K, Unity runs smoothly most of the time. Occasionally there’s a bit of lag, but it’s not too bad—usually the game looks great and runs well. I’ve noticed a few minor issues or glitches, about 1-2 at most, nothing that really breaks things. People are jumping on the hype about Ubisoft, but they don’t really understand what’s going on. For totalbiscuit, I’m not sure what he’s saying—especially if he’s complaining about low FPS with SLI 980, I just don’t get it. :f
Texture quality remains objective. The level of detail in 3D models is also not open to interpretation. If you truly believe AC unity appears acceptable despite poor performance, you're misunderstanding the situation. Bugs aren’t personal opinions either; most users experiencing problems are just that way. This isn’t about my view—you’re defending a flawed game, which is a serious issue. Using a sandpaper condom isn’t acceptable, even with a little lubricant, and that doesn’t excuse supporting such practices.
