You're not going to win against me. As my 770 faces tougher hip games, I'll grab a couple of 970s. Don't worry about it.

I'll choose the 770s for dinner because I have two. However, I believe Nvidia's latest cards will become available when you need an upgrade.

Absolutely, that's a reasonable observation. I'll hold off on the upgrade for a while.

1080p Ultra with FXAA, 45-55 FPS range regardless of settings, consistent 45-55 FPS output.

Switch shadows to High and apply FXaa. Performance remains at 60fps most of the time, though there are occasional drops to 55fps.

I'm exhausted by all the AC Unity FPS discussions. When will folks stop focusing on their setup and start seeing what's really wrong with this bloated software?

The issue isn't just that the game is poorly optimized—it's widely acknowledged as such. You'd need to read extensively about its flaws to realize what it's like. It's common for every fifth discussion on this forum to focus on AC: Unity's shortcomings, let alone the recent reviews that have been circulating for over a month and a half.

It's confusing why you're referencing older data. I purchased it about 1-2 days ago and it has a single 980. It maintains stable 60+ fps, with minor drops to around 50 at lower settings except for 2x msaa at 1080p. The performance reviews are no longer up-to-date; it still struggles but works for high-end systems. @OP, you might need to adjust some parameters to improve it. AC Unity doesn't integrate well with AMD components (source: PCGamer article), so you'll likely have to tweak settings until the issue is resolved.
