AC Origins won't be starting soon.
I just set it up a second time. I discovered a fix but don’t know what to do. Here’s what you need to do:
1. Find the "sounddata" folder in the game installation directory. (It should be something like "<programs folder>/Ubisoft/Ubisoft Game Launcher/games/Assassin's Creed Origins/sounddata").
2. Transfer that folder to any location on your C:\ drive.
3. Delete the "sounddata" folder from the Assassin's Creed Origins installation folder, or rename it to another name.
4. Close the installation and open Command Prompt as an administrator.
5. Navigate to the new location of the sounddata folder on your C:\ drive.
6. Create a hard link (syslink) from that folder back to the game installation folder on your other drive.
That should restore everything properly.
Hello everyone. If you're still encountering difficulties with this game, let's quickly summarize what I found effective. I was able to run it on my PC after launching it immediately when Windows started. If you're already logged in, you won't need to restart the system. Just log out and back in, then launch the game right away. I've tried this method multiple times over five days without any problems. It seems there might be an issue with my antivirus software (Kaspersky). When I normally start the game, it still crashes, even after excluding ACOrigins.EXE in the antivirus settings. However, I've noticed that during startup, before the antivirus fully loads, the game runs smoothly regardless of graphics settings or window modes. I'm currently on level 22. I hope this helps anyone seeking a solution. Cheers.
