So far, except for being fairly confident that dual-channel memory will boost your FPS, I can't add anything more. Are you sure your friend's system matches yours in terms of CPU, GPU, RAM speed/config? Do you recall the settings and resolution?

I'm confident about that.
He received essentially the identical configuration, though using a distinct monitor and CPU.
All content displayed at 1080p under standard conditions.

I upgraded to an i7-7700k and a RX Vega 56, but my FPS remains poor. I switched to dual-channel and it improved. Now I'm doubling my FPS. I think everything is settled now.
