It’s often a backup feature to ensure the game runs smoothly when it senses you’re trying a display mode unsupported by the screen. Likely your TV uses a restricted color range or a different refresh rate than the game’s requirements on another monitor. This helps avoid issues that could stop you from starting the game because of incorrect settings.
You're wondering if your 1080p Asus monitor might be the problem, since your friends have no issues with it while you do. The game itself could have bugs, or the monitor might not be displaying properly. Other games should work fine, so check the specific game for known issues.
Are your friends frequently exchanging monitors too? Did you really take a look at what I said?
Check your settings and ensure they match your monitor's capabilities. Adjust resolution and refresh rates accordingly. If the issue persists, try restarting your display or updating drivers. No solution found yet.
I’m trying to clarify what’s happening here. It seems you’re experiencing issues with the game not running in fullscreen when switching between your main monitor and the secondary one. Let me know if you’d like help troubleshooting this.
I tested the TV once for checking purposes only. Full screen displayed correctly on the TV, but when the game was active, I took it out and connected the monitor back to the PC. At that moment, the game ran in full screen on the monitor only. Now the TV isn’t connected. Yes, you were correct. When I switched back to the monitor, the game didn’t appear in full screen—it looked like a movie in a cinema, with a black border at the top and bottom.
