I've been a big fan of Rainbow Six games for a long time. Granted that the ones released after Raven Shield were rather lackluster, i have some hope for the franchise. But right now, the latest R6 title is an absolute fucking joke. Firstly, no single player campaign? Seriously, there is no single player campaign. Just some half arsed "Situations" to complete which are varying objectives against the AI - it's just like a Terrorist Hunt, but with a couple thrown in objectives to do on the side, to do on your own. Secondly, the netcode and servers for the game suck massive cock. I'm talking about people sponging a 12 gauge shotgun shell to the side of the head, from 5 feet away. Blood will spray over the walls, but the server won't register any damage done. I've had times when a guy can sponge a whole assault rifle mag in the chest/head, and the assault rifles in this game are 3 shot kill weapons, when aiming for the chest. A rifle round to the dome is an outright kill shot. Thirdly, the matchmaker. It groups me with South Africans and other people with ridiculous pings, upwards of 250 at times. Finally, the anti-cheat is a pile of shite. They use Fairfight which is server-side anti-cheat. There is no client-side anti-cheat to scan for hack signatures or anything. meaning it's easy for people using 3D radar hacks to get away with their nefarious ways, and practically never get banned. And this absolutely ruins the Ranked gameplay, as it's a 50/50 chance of me getting teamed with either spastics, or hackers. My very first game there were 4 people hacking. 2 on my team, 2 on the enemy, both pairs from different clans. But they were 100% blatant wallhacking, i'm talking about storming into the building and wiping out the defenders in 30 seconds, shooting through every wall/wooden barricade possible to kill them, and they did it without fail round after round. And the game i just played now had a hacker on the other team, grouped with his boyfriends, and they all just ran outside the building during the action phase, and started shooting at us before we could leave our spawn area outside. This game is a joke and i wish i could get my money back.

The servers have improved significantly since launch. I've completed around 30 ranked matches without encountering any cheaters. The only instances of high ping players were users from Russia using NEU servers rather than WEU.
Most users have resolved connection problems, but errors persist during registration. The process remains smooth only if you're using a 56k modem.
I enjoyed the way Siege worked, but after both updates it became risky to invest in the game. It turned out my choice was wise.
I keep getting banned because Ubisoft doesn’t seem to grasp that some players have poor internet connections, resulting in sudden 30-second ping spikes. (It’s the only game that causes this issue for me with a ping over 500ms lasting about half a minute—my connection is my own, so it’s not their servers being bad, just a strange ping rule). My hit rate stays normal, I haven’t lost any games, maybe luck plays a role (especially when my ping keeps increasing).
