When you actually need RAM, purchase it then. This way, you avoid unnecessary expenses when you don’t require it. It’s unclear why you opted for 64GB right away—did you reach the 32GB threshold before? Or did you buy a full 64GB from the start?
our rigs date back to 2021, we purchased hardware capable of running games smoothly, but once I started playing Star Citizen I realized my setup struggled with the 32 gigabytes. I ended up pushing my current board to its limits at 64 GB. If I wanted even more performance, I’d need to upgrade the motherboard and CPU along with more RAM. Right now I’m not feeling the need to make those changes.
You need to perform a synthetic load to utilize your full RAM, but you only have 32 installed.
