Are you sure the latest BIOS is already installed with your purchase? I’m asking because I’m also getting a 5 3600 and don’t want to pay extra for just a BIOS update.

The A520 board works with a Ryzen 5 3600 regardless of release timing, since the board line was introduced later than the processor.

What's the price? That's a 3600, so even a new old stock B450 is likely to have the bios. Just buy a fresh B450 like the B450M-A, Pro VDH, Pro4, etc. Don't spend your money on a board that's on the dead list.

Throughout the past couple of months, I've purchased B450 Mainboards consistently. Each one came with a BIOS supporting the Ryzen 5000 series, leading me to believe an A520 board would also have a current BIOS. However, I'm considering investing more for a B450 model with a BIOS Flashback capability, similar to the ASUS Prime B450M-A II, which is only 55€ in my area. I thoroughly tested it with a Ryzen 5600X and it's performing well so far.
