He recently got a used PC and planned to upgrade the memory from 8GB to 16GB. The kit is functioning well in my system, but when we tried it on his machine, it appears in BIOS with an option to set up the profile. It also shows in Windows, though half of the memory hardware is reserved. Both RAM sticks work when booting from the DIMMA1 slot, but if only one stick is present in the DIMMB1 slot, the system fails to start completely—black screen, fans spinning. I’ve tried three different RAM modules (Kingston, Crucial, Corsair), booted with Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 1600AF, updated the BIOS, and even reinstalled Windows. Any suggestions on resolving this? Could it be a faulty motherboard?

It seems there was an issue with the MB or the CPU's memory controller. You might have overlooked that you evaluated two distinct processors.
