Thanks for your feedback. I understand wanting a fresh perspective on the project. Since the team selected components according to my budget, I appreciate their approach. Even with limited PC expertise, I’m open to suggestions.

The 6800k includes a built-in graphics unit that won’t be used with your 280 model. A 750k uses the same chip but turns off the graphics feature and is significantly cheaper. Since you haven’t bought the system yet, you might want to rethink the 6800k option.

I’m primarily worried about how this setup will perform with modern games—will it work smoothly or face challenges?

The 280 offers solid graphics performance comparable to a 6800k or 750k. For optimal results, consider creating a new thread in the "New Build and Planning" area. Inform others about your budget, location for sourcing components, and your intended use for the PC. Your current configuration isn’t the most efficient or cost-effective, and many users will struggle to find your post in the general gaming section. Feel free to ask questions, and people will assist you in assembling a great parts list! Don’t forget to mention any individuals you’d like to quote so they’re aware of your request.
