The idle range of 40-46 degrees isn't bad, but it tends to change. It's considered safe up to 90°C. My setup stays between 38-42°C idle, 57-65°C under load, with peak usage usually capping around 70-72°C. Stress tests go up to 76-87°C, depending on PBO. I have a fairly tight airflow design, but if the board and chipset are overheating, that won't fix it. I still believe Corsair RAM plays a role. Before replacing the chip, I'd switch it for something proven to work with this board and CPU. Another idea is to test with just one DIMM at a time if you have multiple, to see if the issue stays with one specific module. This site is full of discussions about people repeatedly failing with Corsair RAM and Ryzen power issues. Edited July 19, 2022 by An0maly_76 Updated, more details
Ryzens can be inconsistent, especially regarding RAM compatibility. What fits one system may not work on another. Factors like board specs, RAM type, and CPU all matter. I’m returning a board that had my 5900X for four months with RAM that the manufacturer didn’t approve, but the RAM supplier did. Who’s correct? The big money question... Did you reinstall the BIOS after exchanging the CPU from the Ryzen 3600 to the 5900X on the X570 board? Which DIMM slots are you connecting? Does the system start and load correctly if the memory is set to default JEDEC settings (i.e., XMP turned off)?
