there is always a bit of variance with the FPS according to what map you play... on my old laptop i just played Office because it ran the best at the time

They seem to adjust their gameplay to lower difficulty and increase stats just enough to make it look better. It also varies based on the map. For instance, my frame rate ranges from around 300 to 500-600 depending on the map and position, using 1920x1440 with the lowest settings except for textures and shaders at High and 2x MSAA. At 2560x1440 I get performance similar to CS:GO, which is mostly CPU-intensive.
