I’m considering an upgrade to a more powerful motherboard, but I’m unsure if it’s worth it without any cost. The 9820X has some appealing features like the symmetrical DIMM slots, which I find attractive. However, I need to weigh the benefits against whether the price tag makes sense.

It seems the 5900x will handle most tasks faster, though this might vary based on your needs. The 9820x could provide unique features not found in the 5900x. Generally, it's free—just consider what matters most.

However, there are many more PCIe cards available, making it difficult to protect the system. It performs well even in high temperatures and lacks full 4.0 compatibility.

Thanks for the support. This was my initial project where I focused on neatness and used RGB lighting. Previous builds were purely functional without any emphasis on appearance. I'm hesitant to alter it just for that touch. The 9820x really stands out with its layout. Still, it generates a lot of heat—when running at full capacity, I need to leave the side panel open to maintain CPU temperatures below 80°C.
