Someone else understands this? It came out in English today. I finally got it after Steam took its time compared to other platforms. Spent more than three hours so far and almost went to sleep. I’m satisfied, but I still need some rest tonight. There’s more time tomorrow. It looks good. I tested it on my 4K TV with a 2070 chipset—no issue there. The CPU isn’t a big factor; it barely needs anything. It set to 4K medium, but I wanted a higher frame rate. I could have chosen 1440p Ultra, and it stayed comfortably at the user-adjustable 60fps limit. I didn’t feel the need for anything higher, since there doesn’t seem to be much more. In open-world sections, GPU usage hovered around 75-85% at 1440 Ultra. I didn’t notice any noticeable resizing issues compared to 4K, though I haven’t checked closely. I remember the performance at 4K was around 30fps, which felt a bit too low for comfort. I’d need a more powerful GPU if I want to run this smoothly. Controls: when launching the game, I saw a warning "real Yakuza uses a controller." Although frustrating. I started with keyboard and mouse, which worked fine, but I decided to try the controller. After searching for my Xbox controller (since many games default to that), I ended up using my PS4 one. It worked natively and displayed the controller buttons. For this title, it felt more natural than keyboard+mouse. The only other game in the series I’ve played was Yakuza Kiwami on PS4. The structure seems similar—you’re set up for the world you’ll explore before diving into the main story. I enjoy the turn-based combat, so I often find myself engaging in fights instead of dodging them like in earlier titles. I still need to get used to the timing of the dodge mechanic. One thing stands out: unlocked the smartphone in-game. I pressed a DLC button out of curiosity, but it’s stuck on a download screen. It won’t cancel or time out after a long delay. Hopefully, there was a recent save. I wrote this post, but it doesn’t seem to update. Since I’m playing on PC with an SSD, the loading screens appear quickly—I can’t read the tips. Wonder how it would have been on PS4… probably not as fast.

Played Like A Dragon earlier this year and am excited about it (and the Remastered Collection—SEGA, we’ve been waiting long enough!). There’s still no PC release date for Like A Dragon in SEA, and I’m hoping Cyberpunk might come out this year. Since my account is set to Europe, I’m avoiding buying from MS for a higher price. I’m a bit hesitant about the new fighting system, but after watching more gameplay, I feel comfortable with it—just not wanting to compare it to older titles.

I'm still getting used to the combat system and it's been quite straightforward so far. It seems like the game is easy to play right now, and I'm not sure when more content will be added. In terms of how it feels, it really mirrors the experience of Kiwami, just with a different combat approach.

It's been two weeks since the release and I'm still finding it enjoyable, logging more than 56 hours. The plot remains captivating. Enemies are becoming tougher, which is a bit discouraging when it comes to locating suitable gear for certain roles. I've focused on side content but haven't spent much time on mini-games. Eventually, I plan to tackle all achievements, though I'm delaying some. Have you been participating since launch?
