I don’t have to rely solely on DDR5, but based on what I’ve seen so far, upgrading to DDR5 would offer advantages for rendering the videos I edit. I’m planning to get a new motherboard since the one I currently use lacks built-in Wi-Fi, which is something I’m trying to avoid (I’ve already removed the antennas from my card twice).
I'm glad you're ready to swap out your motherboard and RAM as well.
Right now I'm evaluating different choices, but for the CPU I'd aim for under £500 while keeping costs as low as possible. I'm open to both Intel and AMD; whatever delivers the best performance is fine. Ideally it should be around £300, though I understand that's probably not achievable.
It's feasible at 300, mainly for the processor. Do you require high input/output activity from the motherboard? What amount of RAM do you need?
You can include PCIe or USB WiFi and upgrade the CPU to a Ryzen 5000 series. This would be the most economical choice. Check these links for more details:

It's mainly for the CPU, and the motherboard only requires basic I/O with a built-in WiFi. I'm planning to install 32GB of RAM initially, and later upgrade to 64GB.
