Uncertain about the issue, a few weeks back when I turned on my laptop, all the folders showed an arrow icon in the top-right corner. Do you think this is something worth investigating? Thanks for your help.

The option to "reduce the size of this drive for storage efficiency" is active. This slightly slows your PC, though it conserves space. Turn it off when performance becomes an issue.
