Hi my guys,
anyone has any idea what this TVMON file is? I saw it mentioned as part of Canons files, but I haven’t installed any Canon or photo/printer software before. It shows up and disappears in the task manager start-up tab, and it just can’t be found anywhere on my PC or in the processes. I’m giving up trying to locate it.

According to PC, there’s no known publisher.
No known file location either.
It doesn’t trigger any red flags when I run Malwarebytes or Windows Defender separately.
There are no obvious errors with the program—just occasional appearances, and no unusual CPU/GPU/SSD usage.
It tends to hide itself right after startup, even though it’s disabled.

It feels like something strange is happening, and it reminds me of something I’ve seen before. Thanks in advance for your help.

Avoid searching for the file or program on this forum. Navigate to C drive and perform a full scan. If not detected, run a virus scan—it’s likely a trojan, especially since no software has been installed.

i checked the canon files and its associated programs on my drive, but they’re not there anywhere. the antivirus also shows nothing—no malwarebytes, no windows defender, no avast. there’s no performance issues or unusual internet activity either. it doesn’t seem to be doing anything.

i removed several other applications like solidworks and national instruments, and they disappeared completely from the startup list. maybe it was related to a simulation. it also appears to have been removed from printing software, even though i haven’t used a printer before.

thanks for your help.

The results were strong; they apply the file label in the same way.
