We've learned that DDR5 isn't being manufactured yet and existing stock is completely sold out. One manufacturer mentioned they're planning another batch this year with 300 units worldwide. The only places you can purchase them right now are through the used or scalper markets. They won't be available in regular stores until next year. I noticed a lot of demand at my microcenter on November 4th, especially for premium kits. By then, I managed to get a couple of Crucial units before they disappeared.
