I assembled the PC using components I already owned and a few new ones from Newegg. The configuration includes: AMD FX-4300 8 GB DDR3-1600 (Kingston) GTX 1050 Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P motherboard, Kingston 120 GB Q500 SSD, Toshiba 1TB 5400 rpm HDD, Gamda’s Kratos M1-750W 80+ Bronze power supply, and a generic case. Background: I previously used a different motherboard, but the GPU didn’t perform well, so I chose this one. It started working fine last night except the GPU fan stayed at full speed. This morning it stopped completely. I tested shorting pins, using a known good PSU, replacing the CMOS battery and resetting it, installing fresh RAM, and even removing everything except the board and a RAM stick. I tried every possible setup I could think of. I spent around $100 on the motherboard, so I’m really worried it might not work (given its price from Newegg). Need any advice?

Ensure the power supply unit isn't having its switch turned off.

No apparent problem. Did you encounter any POST codes? Attempted to start with an iGPU if available.
