If anyone had asked me I would have firmly said no. Yet I’m currently assisting my mother in upgrading her old PC, including replacing her monitor—a device that had suffered significant damage, resulting in numerous dead pixels on one side of the screen. After installing the new monitor, I tested it with the old computer. I anticipated a typical slow performance. However, the PC was so sluggish that even launching Chrome felt exhausting due to its prolonged loading times. With the new monitor, the startup became almost instantaneous (though still slower than a brand-new unit). All my logic suggests this outcome shouldn’t happen. Changing the screen seems irrelevant given the minimal communication between them. Is this just a coincidence? I’m using this opportunity to back up everything while it runs smoothly. But honestly, I’m shocked at how much faster it’s become—never before have I seen such a dramatic improvement even after a clean installation.
