A recent update about running Arch Linux on my Legion 5 system
I've been using Windows for most of my school year since installing Arch, as it "just works." Recently, I had extra time over the summer and decided to reinstall Arch Linux completely. Many of the issues mentioned earlier have been fixed with kernel updates—though the LTS version still isn't fully compatible. The biggest challenge remains switchable graphics; my NVIDIA GPU isn't showing up in the driver settings, and using HDMI or USB-C doesn't connect properly because those devices are linked directly to the GPU. I came across a Reddit thread from some time ago that reported similar problems, suggesting the GPU might have been switched in the BIOS. If anyone has any advice, it would be really helpful.

I don't have access to your current settings. Could you clarify which driver you're referring to?
Thank you for pointing this out. I was mistakenly using the wrong drivers—proprietary NVIDIA with open-source AMD. I’ve switched to the proprietary AMD version, and it’s now working perfectly!
