I purchased a power supply that was highly rated for its price range. I’ll need to do some extra research on another power supply as well. Last night I managed to run my PC for several hours, install software, and perform benchmarks—everything went smoothly. After a while, it just shut down while I was browsing the internet. The only option is to test it with my current 650W cooler master power supply on my new PC. Keep it running for a few hours and observe the results. If it stays on, I’ll consider the new PC defective. If not, I’m still unsure.

The company that supplied my components just replied to my email. I sent the same details as before, and they think the CPU might be defective. They asked for a return and a refund. It’s unclear if the problem is with the CPU, the PSU, or something else. I plan to send it back and might also return the PSU while buying a new one.

Likely wouldn’t cause harm because you’re handling it. It’s unlikely the issue will persist without a CPU. This is the first time I’ve seen CPU mentioned with these symptoms. They might have some information I don’t.

The JFYI CPUs are barely functioning, it seems the PSU or another factor is likely the problem. I’m not sure what to do next.

Absolutely, it definitely looks like a PSU problem!
