To run this game with an Ultra texture pack, you need at least 6 GB of VRAM. It seems the difference between high and ultra textures isn't that big compared to the cost of extra VRAM. Suggest setting everything to high settings for a smoother experience—60 FPS is achievable on most PCs at 1080p with this configuration. Enjoy!

You're not limited. I've successfully handled Ultra textures at 1080p on a 3GB 780, with all other settings at their highest except for motion blur, which I avoid.

It seems the developers likely exaggerated the memory needs for ultra textures. The specs probably reflect a higher demand than what's actually required.

Ultra textures seem to utilize available VRAM, with users on 3GB cards using roughly 3GB and those with 4GB reporting around 4GB, continuing this pattern. As you increase the rendering resolution, the frame buffer begins to strain, which makes sense given the limits of 4K. By adjusting settings, you might be able to downsample and reduce jaggies. Optimized drivers for SoM could further boost performance.
