This mobile device has stayed in my This PC folder for several months, and it remains there even after disconnecting all cables. I have HP ActiveSync enabled, which allows communication with PDA devices. However, another Mobile Device appears only when a PDA is connected, and it simply stores files without showing up otherwise. Without a PDA plugged in, the folder appears empty. Is this an issue caused by the software or just a minor glitch? Windows XP SP3 (x86) Thanks!

The XP machine (Compaq Presario R4000 from 2005) operates in the same way and includes Microsoft ActiveSync, which means this is typical functionality.
