You should keep using the xmp profile. The manual setting is not reliable, while the xmp profile maintained stable performance.

When in doubt, I opt for stability by checking all DRAM options and ensuring they perform well. If a model at 3000 delivers better results than the standard 2666 configurations, then it's the right choice.
