Hi everyone, I purchased the MSI B450- Tomohawk Max motherboard recently. Here are the specs. I was curious about the PS/2 USB ports—do they differ from regular USB ports? I searched online but didn’t find clear information. Edit: My mistake, I mistakenly got the PS2 port and USB 2 port mixed up. In the picture, the second one was hiding the real PS/2 port, so I assumed it was referring to the two USB ports for some reason.

PS/2 refers to the circular plug found at the top of the leftmost USB connectors, used for older mice and keyboards prior to widespread USB adoption.

I haven't seen a keyboard and mouse connected via a PS/2 port in about a decade—they were once very popular. I wonder if USB Type A will follow the same trend.

You're using a PS/2 mouse and keyboard, but you've run out of USB ports. It works better than USB but isn't easily removable.

I experienced that issue before, then somehow the PS2 connector ceased functioning. I purchased a budget USB hub from Amazon, and it now works properly.
