Can it be an issue with the video card?
Yes, that's what I suspected too. You mentioned that the case's fans are still working when that happens, but are the GPU's fans still active as well? Or does the fan stop in some part—like a led or something—that might suggest the GPU is still running?

I believe the issue isn't related to the GPU you used with your friends, and it seems your PC continues to restart while the GPU fans spin up.

verify the voltage using atx wiki; it seems all three rails are high. if so, the power supply might be the issue, as it could trigger the shutdown due to voltage spikes.
