I’m certain I conveyed my message accurately. This game is completely unfamiliar to you. That’s it.
The game was engaging, requiring about 120 hours to complete at 100%. Avoid the repetitive aspects; there are numerous ways to tackle missions, particularly after unlocking advanced abilities. The biggest issue is the lack of optimization. Both DLCs felt underwhelming, and they operate as isolated systems—new characters must be created.
Don't compare it to Splinter Cell. Splinter Cell is amazing. At least Blacklist was. Sneaking in the shadows, snapping necks, using your goggles to see enemies in the dark. So good. Wildlands is just... Wildlands is peak Ubisoft. Go here kill these guys, go there kill these other guys. Rinse and repeat. The gameplay and story are both pretty meh. It's alright but a bit of a grind.
Tasks differ widely. At a glance... besides basic violence and sabotage. Take the helicopter, plane, or car. Grab the VIP, question or extract them. Eliminate high-value targets or hack systems, sometimes unnoticed. Safeguard the radio station. Disrupt and tag the convoy. Navigate from point A to B within the given timeframe. These scenarios unfold in diverse settings and against varied foes—either drug cartels or paramilitary groups. The DLCs also include four distinct side objectives... For the narrative, the roughly 150 Kingslayer files enrich the broader storyline.
I thought it was great. It really shines in 4k resolution, with plenty to do and a solid multiplayer experience. The story wasn't the best but it was manageable. In the end, it's definitely worth trying. One of the few games that kept me focused enough to finish completely.
