Just put the old Kraken back and connected one RAM stick with no GPU, so it booted up again showing that lights/NZXT logo on the cooler. Still no screen from the integrated CPU, or keyboard I plugged in, and now there is a solid red Q-LED glowing for the CPU. It did not blink like before when it reached the DRAM stage.
Here is what I am explaining about that mount hole: https://imgur.com/ZpRXp5B If the socket gets broken and you can't fix it, then the whole motherboard has to go away. It looks like those pins are bent, but they sometimes bend back just right. You might need a little razor blade or small tweezers and very careful hands. Maybe you'll even need some magnifying glass to see what you're working on.
I just think I might have seen something, or maybe saw through that CPU thing because the little chip holder was taken off... so I will check it out. I'll try and fix those tiny wires if the breadboard doesn't give me any clues. If that happens, well, that's a shame, because you always forget to be careful! Alright, after all my testing, I did my final best effort by buying a magnifying glass and trying to get those pins back in place, since they might have been bent as you mentioned. I lined them up the way I could and re-inserted everything into their spots, and now it's working again! Hopefully this will keep going for awhile and everything looks like it used to before. Does this ever seem like a problem later on when these pins break down over time? Thanks so much for helping me!
I am happy you fixed them so the PC starts working! After a computer comes out of the box, the little metal teeth on the CPU usually won't bend unless something breaks the connection again. So as long as you don't unplug the socket, this shouldn't happen. Bending these pins over and over makes them get tired from fatigue and makes them very likely to snap off completely.
