Admitting the situation, the time for AMD was quite challenging. If the board you bought to pursue this is eligible for a refund, I would take advantage of it. You might easily find a refurbished office machine under $100 that would outperform the demanding 8350. It could also be wise to evaluate both the graphics card and power supply as potential concerns in this setup.

I'll replace the graphics card and perform additional tests.
Thanks for letting me know about the 8350's performance issues—I might consider underclocking since this will be a home server hosting a Discord bot, which is currently just a basic timer for a video game my friends play.

OS was initially Windows 10, then transitioned to Debian12 correctly. A thread can be closed if desired, but it's recommended to relocate it from here (Systems) to Open Source.
Also, for the CMOS battery and similar components, consult the motherboard's User Guide or Manual for proper reset/replacement steps.
Some boards also specify that the first RAM module must go into a designated slot, usually DIMM_A2. This requirement might not always be clearly mentioned or obvious. Review all details carefully and examine the RAM installation diagrams closely.

the honest am3+ fx series chips were really popular, even board makers like asrock had to keep fans on the vrms lol.
actually from the asrock website it says:
for cooling the cpu and its nearby parts, install a cooler with a top-down airflow design.
